The book "Online Monitoring of Power Transformers" has been published.
The book "Power Transformer Online Monitoring Using Electromagnetic Waves" has been published. According to the public relations department of Amirkabir University of Technology, the book has been authored and published by the researchers of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology. This unique book in the field of electrical engineering "High Voltage Equipment" has been published by the Elsevier publishing group (AP: Academic Press) in 10 chapters and 336 pages.
Professor Georg Karpetian, a faculty member of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology, and Dr. Hossein Karami, a graduate of Amirkabir University of Technology and a member of the High Voltage Research Group at the Power Research Institute, are the authors of this book.
The book discusses various methods of online monitoring of power transformer faults based on electromagnetic waves.

The book begins with a classification of various methods for monitoring and different types of faults in power transformers. It then discusses various monitoring methods based on electromagnetic waves, along with the results of practical tests on a transformer in different chapters. The faults under examination include axial faults in the winding, radial faults in the winding, and the occurrence of partial discharge.
This book encompasses the results of over 12 years of research by a group of researchers and postgraduate students on power transformers. Given the significant importance and high cost of power transformers in the network and the extensive system outage in the event of failure to timely detect faults, the online monitoring methods described in the book can be a crucial step in ensuring the continuity of power supply in the power network.
